This is a time of confession for me .
Yes, mainly because I want to take you to the backend and see what’s going on with me.
And hopefully, you will learn one or two things from what I want to tell you.
For the past week, I haven’t been in the productivity groove.
Yes, I find it hard to write.
I have been down.
I find it very hard to even communicate freely with close friends.
I play with them quite alright but deep down?
It’s been hell forming happiness when you are sad.
And truthfully, the sadness has no tangible reason.
Just been a crazy move here and there which I couldn’t pinpoint.
And fortunately for me, I have offset all the client’s works with me last week.
So I am presently idle and also not idle.
Because I am setting up a funnel for myself and also free things for you.
But that’s not even close to the point.
Because I feel I am not in the groove simply because I don’t have a client or anything to work with presently.
And just yesterday, I tried to shoot my shot to one big shot in the Affiliate Marketing industry.
He’s doing crazily well too (Not Tamilore)
And needless to say, I came at the right time for this guy too.
He said he has been looking for a copywriter and we should do this.
That’s another big money and recommendation in the bag.
And oh, I forgot to share this good news with you.
Under 48 hours, a copy I wrote brought in N240,000 all in profit.
And all these are supposed to make me happy and elated yeah?
It’s doing just the opposite.
And I think I know the reason but before I tell you that.
I need you to help me answer a question.
I know you are my gee and you have the answer to this.
And here goes:
Why do you think a lady will like you, she will have mutual feelings for you…
And heck, she will be dying to be with you.
But when you go to ask her out, she will say NO and come up with filthy excuses.
Why do you think that is?
Like what do you think is the cause?
And honestly, I know how frustrating this thing can be but one thing you need to understand is…
Ladies are just like that.
They won’t have any excuse but they will decide to cruise the guy.
And that was why some days ago, I saw a lady lamenting that one guy asked her out once…
She said NO and the guy blocked her.
Isn’t that what the guy is supposed to do?
Or is the guy supposed to keep chasing her around?
I don’t understand this gender because they behave solely like your prospects too.
No matter the pain and sadness your prospect is going through…
Even if you bring Jesus from heaven to show her that here’s the best solution for this pain…
She will still ask questions like
- Is it safe?
- Will the pain subside if I use it?
- Yada yada
Which are what we know as objections.
And that’s why I always tell copywriters that…
No matter how huge the problem your product is solving…
You must be able to answer objections effectively or else…
You will lose the sale to someone that sells something inferior to yours.
What do I mean?
Let’s assume I have diabetes (I have written quite a bunch of winners in this niche, so I like talking about it)
And I am very close to getting my leg amputated because of a wound that never healed up…
And you have the best and easiest solution to reverse my diabetes and even give me the easiest way to get back on my feet without amputation.
I will still be skeptical about your solution.
Heck, I will even doubt you times without number…
I will have questions like:
- Are you sure this will work?
- Won’t I die if I use this?
- Will this work better than what I have used in the past?
And honestly, it’s not my fault.
Just the fault of people that have been selling craps in my niche.
And if by chance you failed to attend to these questions going on in my head…
I won’t buy it.
And this is where the Unique Mechanism comes in.
I tell people your unique mechanism is more like your argument in a debate.
The notion you support or against must be fully well defended.
And this is very important because this makes up the whole body of your sales message.
You need to answer a lot of questions with your UM like:
- After everything I have used in the past, why am I still having this problem?
- What exactly is the origin of this problem?
- How’s your product different?
- Are you sure it will work for me?
- What makes it different?
- Why should I believe you?
- What’s the discovery story behind your product?
