I got a message yesterday…

Dolapo

Dolapo

And when I saw the message, I knew exactly what they wanted.

I knew what they are trying to achieve.

And na thief dem be.

For real, Aweber won’t send me any message until around the 25th of the month.

And this is because their fee repayment is by the 29th of every month.

So them sending me an email on how to build my email list rapidly (on the 27th) is a scam

Yeah?

Exactly.

And immediately I saw the message, I deleted it straight.

I think they need to be told that we are broke in Nigeria.

But Aweber has a huge audience base and well, they can get away with this.

At least, this has been happening for months and I still kept using them.

I saw something interesting that is still making me stay behind.

But you see Hakeem collections that’s not big as Aweber…

He doesn’t have any Unique Mechanism I can stay with.

Heck, he has nothing to offer other than buy buy.

No valuable content.

Nothing but pure buy buy buy.

It doesn’t work that way.

And it’s not only Hakeem collections…

Even some information marketers are guilty of this

You build a list of people either on your email list or WhatsApp list.

You don’t update them, neither do you send them valuable content.

But you find a way to pitch them every day.

As sweet as it is to say that sell aggressively.

Sell every day.

You should remember that value comes first when it comes to selling.

In fact, value is like 80% of the whole equation and selling is like 20%

People aren’t stupid yunno.

And your audience are smart ass too.

You can’t keep going through the corner while dealing with them.

It doesn’t work that way.

Educate them.

Give them better value.

Let them learn from you well enough.

And you can sell to them.

Here’s also another scenario:

I am working for a brand presently (personal brand)

We want to launch a product and we were running ads.

But one way or the other, the man never mentioned to me that I will be writing weekly newsletters.

In fact, he thought it’s not useful.

That we will just launch and send them sales page link to buy.

When I asked him for the plan so I can advise him, I was dumbstruck.

And to make this thing a success, I had to put in extra few hours to write a warm sequence for him pending the launch.

I was really surprised some people still think we will just send emails and if will bring in money.

Nah Nah.

A lot of things goes into that email.

And this builds a nice relationship between the reader and sender.

It’s a two-way thing.

If I gain value from you, that’s when I will be glad to pay you.

I have a lot of people that are saving up to get the layman guide.

And I have a few people wanting to get into my one on one mentorship.

All these won’t happen if I haven’t given them enough value.

Infact, you won’t be here reading either.

And yeah, I know I can be annoying and stubborn.

But what are friends for if you can’t tolerate that little annoyance?

Exactly.

And here’s another thing I want you to take note of:

Never change your personality with your audience.

Unless of course, your personality is so baddddddd.

But if not, just be natural.

Be yourself.

A lot of people stopped giving out valuable content because they couldn’t keep up with the fake personality.

Be neutral and just do you.

No need to form anything.

The Internet has made everything so easy that no matter how worse you are…

People will follow you.

Yes, and they will genuinely love and follow you.

Daniel Throssell is an example.

I am an example.

Andy is an example

Each of those people mentioned has their own bad blooded personality.

But one way or the other, people are still running after them.

Those that will unsubscribe will unsubscribe.

And this means one thing.

Be yourself to attract the right people to you.

And make sure you enjoy whatever you are doing

That’s all.

And the bottom line?

If by now, you haven’t gotten the main point of this email.

Then go and start again from the beginning.

Stop looking at me like that.

To your success,

Dolapo Hamzat.

P.S:

Need something that will put you in the best way possible to afford all you want with just a few hours of work monthly?

Then here’s your invite to something that teaches you how to do just that.
