It’s not easy to actually be a student and an entrepreneur.
It’s really hard.
And yes, I am here to rant today.
So I trust you to listen and pick out a few lessons in between.
But before my full rant, something happened some days back.
And yes, I was so proud of myself because it’s not easy and I deserve a back pat.
A course mate of mine walked up to me and said something to me.
And hearing him say such, I knew that I have made an impact everywhere.
And I am still making that impact.
Because if you are a student, you know better that your coursemates are the ones that won’t rate you at all.
Even as a pastor, your coursemates won’t still rate you because they don’t care.
Now imagine your coursemates coming to meet you that he really admire what you do in the online space.
And he’s in awe of how you manoeuvre everything with school and others.
I was just blushing.
And he said something too… even though I know this one quite well.
You can’t be beside me and not learn anything new.
It can be a bad thing or a good thing (I can’t guarantee which)
But you will definitely learn new things ranging from sex, copywriting, marketing, sales, life hacks, relationships, etc.
I am that valuable.
And heck, I make sure I have a little bit of Knowledge everywhere.
Even though everybody knows me as a copywriter.
But I am knowledgeable in virtually everything and with this…
I am a huge asset to my client.
Because just yesterday, I was talking to a prospective client and it’s all about the financial markets.
When I laid out some things for him, he was like…
I thought you only write information products to make money online…
Never knew you are this knowledgeable about the financial markets too.
And this is the position you want to be in every time.
Because you write for the health niche doesn’t mean you should ignore other niches.
Because you write only email copies doesn’t mean you should neglect sales letters.
It will give you an edge in negotiation every time.
Because these things work together.
They link themselves together and that means one thing.
Get more knowledge than the ordinary person.
That’s the only guarantee you have in today’s world.
And yeah, I don’t have to rant again because I am happy.
But even as this school want to kill me, I can’t still drop out.
It’s a personal decision.
I ghats finish this shit even if it places a knife on my neck.
So if I see anybody that drop out, na you sabi o because me I go finish this thing.
4 years already is not a joke.
And I won’t even blame them, they also have their reasons.
But the only thing I can insult them on is not getting a digital skill.
Because I was even surprised when my lecturer (this man is a professor and the Dean of the faculty)
He came to my class when we had his class on Friday…
I was not in school but they relayed everything he said to me
The man admitted that the schooling system is now old modelled.
And this is coming from a professor and he took a turn in asking my classmates what they planned to do after school to support our course.
Because according to him, our course is a 10-year course.
5 years in school
3 years to fill logbook and write professional exams
2 years to work more before you are given a seal (professional QS)
