I don’t even know where to start from.
Should I start by telling you that I miss writing to you?
Or I should start with the reasons I haven’t written to you since 23rd November?
Which one?
.
.
.
.
I think I will go for the former (the first option) because we shouldn’t cry over split milk yunno.
See ,
I miss the thrill of waking up sharply in the morning and getting on my phone to write to you.
Even though it might be something you don’t like or me ranting or me catching cruise or anything in between.
But at least, the thrill of writing to you daily is always there.
The thrill of making your emotions tumble while I live my best life is always there.
The thrills of me writing something that makes you curse me underneath is there.
And here I am fumbling with words to convey my feelings better.
Well, I know I will overcome this.
And as you know that today is a lifehack Sunday… I have 3 life hacks for you.
I won’t beg you to take them seriously but if by any chance you love yourself and your loved ones…
Then you will take it seriously.
Here goes:
1. Take good care of your health.
Even though this is cliche already and people already know this…
It’s not bad if I repeat it yeah?
Exactly.
- Sleep early
- Don’t take junks
- Don’t take processed foods
- Exercise regularly (I am guilty of this)
- Yada Yada.
They are all the best advice because health is wealth.
When I got to the hospital on Tuesday…
The doctor said 90% of my health problem emanate from stress (migraine, fever, etc)
- He said I should rest small.
- I should move away from computers.
- I should use UV glasses anytime I am working on a computer or phone with light rays.
- Yada Yada.
And while I am following all these instructions, I still find it hard to cope with them.
You see, as entrepreneurs…
It has been ingrained in our head that we must work hard like a dog to succeed.
Well, it’s not a lie.
Especially if you are from a third world country like Nigeria.
But this hard work shouldn’t disrupt your health.
You can work hard and sleep your 8 hours daily.
You can work hard and eat healthily.
You can work hard and use UV glasses when working with light rays.
And many more.
The point is…
It all starts and depends on you.
You are the sole proprietor here.
And if you don’t take good care of yourself…
Then it will lead you to something you don’t want.
And sorry I am ranting on that, it’s just very important especially when you consider I saw heaven and earth during my 5 days sickness.
Moving on…
2. Have an emergency fund.
When I started following Tamilore and he was talking about this emergency funds.
I was just laughing and in my head, I was like…
“Sheybi na person wey chop belleful dey keep money for emergencies.”
And even though this is right because if I am broke, I can’t keep anything aside for an emergency.
But this is also wrong.
I know because I have been there.
An emergency fund is very important because nothing is guaranteed.
Here’s what I mean:
If your phone got spoiled or broken… how do you plan to make a comeback in one or two days?
If you have a health problem and you need a very sharp surgery, how do you plan to raise the funds?
If your loved ones are sick or in danger and all you require to take care of them is a certain amount of money, how do you plan to scale through?
And don’t get me wrong here… I am not putting you on a pedestal.
I am just showing you how hard and crazy life is.
It comes at you faster than Usain Bolt and if you are not ready for it…
It will break everything breakable and leave you with weak bones.
Yes.
You need emergency funds.
And yeah, I understand if you don’t have any money to even keep anything aside.
I have been there.
But this is a wake-up call for you not to relent.
Get your ass to work now.
And to make it easier for you…
Here’s the best thing.
3. Automate your cash flow.
While I was on bed rest, I was making money through the sales of my course.
My affiliates are promoting it and we are making money.
In fact, I had over 5 sales in the 5 days I was in bed…
This looks small really but it went a long way to help.
I didn’t have to pull out of my emergency funds to take care of myself.
My cash flow was up to date.
And it got automated by giving it to affiliates.
Here’s what I am driving at:
- Get a skill that will pay you a good amount of money per service rendered.
- Get very good with the skill and start earning.
After learning and earning…
- You can build up your audience base and start teaching the little you know.
(Emphasis on the getting good, learning and earning)
After earning through the selling of your knowledge…
- Then automate it by creating funnels or giving to affiliates to promote.
Sounds simple but not easy.
And if you can dedicate the next six months to be serious with today’s lifehacks.
You won’t ever regret it.
And let me recap.
- 1. Take good care of your health
- 2. Have an emergency fund
- 3. Automate your cash flow.
