It’s not enough to know how to do something. 

It’s best to do it and do it again.

And what do I mean?

Simple. 

“Easier said than done” is a statement that we are all familiar with.

We must have heard it times without number either in school or anywhere. 

And we can relate so well to it. 

You see, it’s really easy telling someone to do something. 

But the question is: Can you do it too?

Because sometime last week, I was going through people’s status.

And I came across one stupid statement from someone. 

I will tell you what the statement is in a bit.

But you need to know one thing.

I learned this thing from Golibe.

You don’t have to listen to all thought leaders.

And heck, you don’t even have to agree to them all.

Because some of them spit nonsense sometimes.

This person is a thought leader in his craft or so I thought.

Until I came across this stupid thing.

I saw it and I had the urge to slide into his DM and say:

“You are very sick.”

But firstly, I don’t have energy.

Secondly, I rather waste my time watching anime than engage with someone that always talk unnecessarily. 

So I let it slide.

And what he said is just something grave because this copywriting thing…

People still underrate it a lot.

He said and I quote:

“If I decide to be a copywriter today, there are a lot of loopholes I have seen.

I will fill those loopholes and become a respected authority because it’s that simple”

One: Just shut up.

Two: Shut up again.

Three: Do am if e easy.

And the funniest part is…

Remember I told you I got a program yesterday. 

And I got into the support group for the first one yesterday…

I saw the guy in the support group.

But man can’t even practice copywriting. 

Man can’t write ordinary ad copy.

He’s part of those people that always lose their mind to write copies on WhatsApp. 

He’s part of those birthday discount geng. 

I was just pissed.

I just had to let go and decide to give you the gist.

But there are some lessons in here.

1. Don’t make mouth if you have never tried something, don’t be a fool, please.

2. Because people are saying yes sir or yes ma to you, don’t think you are on top of the world.

3. And please don’t confuse people. If you have never tried something, don’t teach it.

4. Lastly, no rule said you must agree to everything a thought leader says.

I still disagree with my mentor and my mentees also disagree with me too.

No one is the epitome of knowledge. 

We are all learning here but the only way you can’t confuse others is to always shut up when you are still in a trial stage.

Copywriting is not easy but simple.

Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.

It’s easy to read the theory and you will feel on top of the world.

But when it comes to getting your hands dirty, you will sweat.

I still sweat hot when it comes to writing a copy.

My mentor called me yesterday and he complained to me too.

It’s not easy to write a copy that keeps breaking sales records.

So if you haven’t done this before, respect copywriting, please.

And that’s the end of my rant to you because I was just blazing hot since yesterday.

Try to remove one and you break the flow of the copy.

It’s that crazy.

Etc.
