Today is Sunday and it’s all straight to business as usual..
 
So…
 
While talking to a mentee of mine yesterday.. we were preparing a customer avatar for her new brand..
 
So her target age is between the range of 25 to 35 years Old..
 
And while discussing, I asked her what platform do they converge so she can go meet them there?
 
She said Instagram which is sweet..
 
Females of that age range uses IG Well.. 
 
So I asked her what’s her marketing plan?
 
That was where everything got mixed up…
 
She said she will use WhatsApp and her contact list will refer her to her target audience..
 
Mehnnnn..
 
But she just mentioned they are on IG.. why not go meet them there?
 
Why doing hope marketing?
 
Okay, hope marketing is you relying on luck and possibilities..
 
More so, the control isn’t with you..
 
And this is exactly what business owners do..
 
You know where your target audience converge..
 
You just need to go meet them and boom, sales..
 
But no..
 
They will rather make it complicated by waiting on referrals without the necessary marketing. 
 
Don’t get me wrong, referral is gold of course..
 
But putting all your marketing on referral? It’s bad..
 
The trouble is most entrepreneurs think the internet starts and ends on their favorite social media platform.
 
Because she love WhatsApp, that’s why she wanted to start her marketing on the same WhatsApp..
 
But in business, you really don’t matter..
 
Your target audience matters..
 
You need to go meet them wherever they are and serve them..
 
They won’t come to you at least at the initial stage of your business..
 
You must fish them out and be in their face..
 
And that’s why ads should never be underrated.. 
 
Why would you even underrate ads when Airtel still do Ads?
 
C’mon..
 
Business and entrepreneurship as a whole needs intentionality..
 
You need to be really intentional to make the most out of your business..
 
You also need to know that the most important element of all is your target market. 
 
It doesn’t matter how attractive your offer or how brilliant your salesletter is….
 
If you send the wrong traffic or eyeballs to it you’re going to flop…
 
So where should you direct your traffic from?
 
For crying out loud, I said where your target audience converge..
 
Mehn..
 
Are they 50 years old upward and are male? They read newspaper, that’s where you should run ads.. 
 
Female that loves gram? Use IG because that’s where they are..
 
Etc.
 
And mind you, I am not telling you focus on that..
 
Your own 50 years old might be on LinkedIn or even Facebook. 
 
It all depends on the market you sell..
 
I am just giving you a guideline..
 
Just find them where they are.
 
Them go get them.
 
Simple as ABC.
