Making money will be very hard for you

Dolapo

I remember sometime late last year…

I think around October 2020 up till December 2020.

I always believed buying table water is a big waste of money when you can always buy pure water or even drink borehole water.

And to me, it’s just me saving money and being prudent.

Infact, buying a big and very good phone then was like a big waste of money to me too.

Because come to think of it…

Why would you buy a phone worth 500k when you can buy a 100k phone and it will even be faster and smoother.

And not even only that…

I believed that taking huge apartments as a student is also a waste of money.

Infact, I always justify myself then without knowing it’s poverty speaking through me.

It’s the way I was brought up…

And last I checked, the average Nigerians was brought up that way.

We weren’t born with a silver spoon in our mouth.

Our parents hustle very hard to come up with school fees then…

Not to even talk of party money or anything thereof.

Infact, when I was in primary school…

In a term, I was sent back home for school fees default a lot of times.

It got to a point I enjoyed it.

I will pray they send me back home so I can go play around.

And there are also a lot of times when my mum would tell me to forgo school party that she will take me to the amusement park in Ibadan.

Damn, and this is all because they can’t afford the school party fee.

Even though I don’t know about you…

That’s just how my childhood was as an average Nigerian.

So when I see people buying table water and big phones or even taking up big apartments…

I see no need for it and I call it a waste.

But when I got to realize that my thinking was my problem.

I had to change.

You see, as an average Nigerian…

You will be in this position no matter what.

You will see some things as a waste of money.

Luxury to you can’t be easily justified.

You will term a lot of things as nonsense.

And not until you get out of this rut… making money will be very hard for you.

Calm down, that’s not a curse.

It’s just plain fact.

Mindset is fucked up and rotten beyond comprehension.

And until I got out of this rut earlier this year…

That was when I started seeing a lot of things as the norms.

I started telling myself that I have been lied to from childhood.

See, this same rotten mentality is what a lot of Nigerians are still taking up and down.

You can’t tell them they will make money online and they will believe.

It’s not their fault.

It’s the part of the world we are in.

Even though I have seen a lot of people get out of this rut…

The next stage is where most of them are stuck.

Here’s what I mean:

You already believed you are out of this mental rut…

You can make money online.

And through some business model or skill, you have been able to generate quite a lot of money online.

Maybe 1M monthly or lower.

You are happy and living life.

But there’s a saying that says…

“What brought you here won’t take you there.”

This applies to a lot of things starting from your mindset up to your skill.

You can’t have the same mindset reset that made you 1M monthly and expect to make 10M monthly.

It’s not possible.

You need a total mindset reset to move to that level.

You need to have a massive belief in yourself.

It takes rework and a big rework again.

It’s not easy.

Mindset serves as a limitation most of the time.

And if you don’t get rid of this limitation, scaling up will be very hard.

Or why do you think Andy Mukolo (as wealthy as he is) is taking a mindset session with a coach?

Because he wants to crazily scale up.

He wants to move to another income level.

It’s that simple.

And like I said yesterday, this is one of the biggest pillars of my successful campaigns.

Immediately a client gives me the brief…

I believe it will be a bestseller.

I haven’t even started working on it but in my head and mind…

I want to write a bestselling copy.

And this mindset keeps following me everywhere to give me that darn big idea.

It sounds very trivial.

Sounds motivational but best believe it’s the truth.

And you don’t have to believe me…

But go and check the successful Nigerians…

Let them tell you about mindset.

After hearing them, come back to me so I can knock your head.

And I know the next question is simple…

How can I change my mindset?

Well, varies from person to person.

But the only constant thing in this game is to read books.

Yes, there are a lot of mindset books online.

They are on a free domain which means they are free.

  • Read them.
  • Consume them.

They will shape and reshape your thinking which will extend to your money-making game.

Simple.

And if you have the money…

Try and do things the rich people do.

  • Take vacations sometimes.
  • Eat at a nice restaurant sometimes.

Do things that stretch you financially and anything thereof.

It’s hard to get out of the mental rut but you can do it.

Just be dedicated and you are good to go.

To your success,

Dolapo Hamzat.

P.S:

I don’t know about you…

But in this present economy…

Earning an extra income between $200 to $1000 monthly is a big flex.

Infact, it will put in a very nice spot than 70% of Nigerians.

And fortunately, I know a way you can earn that…

Infact, I have been able to do way above that number…

And here’s what I am talking about: Earn between $200 to $1000 monthly.
