There are a lot of bullshit out there that will make you feel you are doing nothing.

 

And not only bullshit but there are also lies out there.

 

People lie over and over again (especially Internet marketers)

 

The reason why they lie is what I can never understand. 

 

And I will take some guess which I will tell you in a moment…

 

But just last week…

 

Some of my mentees went into anger mode and started talking about all the online coaches that have either scammed them or scammed someone they know.

 

And to say I am surprised will be a lie.

 

I know those people they are mentioning because I have been in the same position too.

 

I don’t know if you have heard a phrase that says

 

“If you don’t buy lies, you won’t buy the truth.”

 

Exactly.

 

I have been there before too.

 

I have bought lies over and over again before getting to my mentor.

 

Infact, before starting copywriting…

 

I paid a self-acclaimed copywriter N45,000 last year to write a copy for my course…

 

And it was a massive flop (more than a total flop)

 

And yeah, I know 45k is a small amount of money to charge for a copy.

 

But that’s exactly what he asked for and I paid him that amount.

 

So when my mentees were complaining bitterly about these coaches (they mentioned like 5 or so)

 

I was just laughing because they are right to be angry.

 

The same way they feel was the same way I felt in the past too.

 

And this pushed me into making up my mind that I won’t ever hype people into buying my stuff. 

 

Neither will I promise to teach people what I haven’t made a crazy amount of money from.

 

And I took those to heart.

 

I don’t hype even with my client copy.

 

(One client didn’t use my copy because I didn’t hype, he said I should hype it and I said no. That was the end of our relationship then)

 

I don’t force people into buying anything.

 

In fact, I try as much as possible to push people away especially with the work involved in making money.

 

So that’s why when someone came into my DM yesterday to ask when she will start making money from copywriting if she paid my N75,000 mentorship fee…

 

I just told her not to pay.

 

Why?

 

It’s not that she won’t start making money from the 3rd month if she implements everything I will be showing her.

 

And it’s not that I am not confident she will make money.

 

Nah Nah. 

 

Enough testimonials are showing that my students make money from what I teach.

 

But that mindset she’s bringing will cripple her money-making game. 

 

She will expect money quick which is not ideal for copywriting. 

 

Some people get clients after their first month.

 

Some get clients after 3 months while some will have to keep working till after 6 months.

 

Results are not typical.

 

And if because of your money, I am not telling you the truth. 

 

Then I am not different from the crooks out there. 

 

Simple.

They are human psychology that makes people take action without waiting for hype.

 

They are the emotional points to touch in people to make them buy even after warning them of the work involved.

Hype will fade with time, only the real thing stays till the end of the time.

The major reason people (especially Internet marketers) lie is something called…

 

“Fake it till you make it”

 

Which to me is a very stupid phrase.

 

I know people will tell you to package yourself and your brand no matter what you are going through…

 

They are right.

 

But they are not asking you to form what you are not.

 

Because why would you be telling people you are making millions per month when you are not even making strong 6 figures. 

 

Don’t you think that’s fraud?

 

Yes, Internet marketing yahoo yahoo.

 

It’s wrong honestly. 

 

People that know me know that I hate this fake it till you make it thingy.

 

I wear round-neck tops up and down.

 

Why?

 

Because I never get money obviously.

 

Abi what will I gain in showing that I am making quite a huge sum of money when I am making little money here and there?

 

That’s just the plain fact.

 

And yeah, I am not telling you not to live your life the way you want.

 

Nah Nah.

 

Just don’t lie to people.

 

Don’t be a bastard.

 

It takes dignity and reputation away from you which to me is the most important thing in this online space.

 

Live your life the way you want but don’t lie to confuse people.

 

Don’t show a lifestyle to make people register for whatever you sell.

 

And you as someone that buys stuff online too…

 

A coach living a luxurious lifestyle doesn’t mean you will be able to live such a lifestyle too immediately you buy his course.

 

Nah Nah.

 

You have to put in your work too.

 

Get yourself into the deep trenches of work and you might also live such a lifestyle. 

 

Moreso, a coach showing you a luxurious lifestyle might be lying.

 

So you hoping to do that immediately you get his course shows you are also aiming to be swindled. 

 

In essence, shine your eyes well.
