While going through my sent broadcasts (I mean my past newsletters) yesterday
 
I saw a lot of emails that have a lot of engagements.
 
Even open rates and click-through rates.
 
I was surprised these newsletters have high open rates.
 
Because as it is my own way of life…
 
I stopped obsessing over things like open rate, click-through rate, etc.
 
And this is because most of these things bring some level of depression. 
 
Because why on earth would I take my time to write something huuuuuuuj and you won’t open and read.
 
O wrong.
 
So I stopped checking those altogether. 
 
I just open my notepad every morning. 
 
I write as it’s coming to my head (mostly inside Toilet)
 
Then I go to my laptop.
 
Open my Aweber dashboard and paste what I wrote in my notepad.
 
Then schedule and leave it.
 
No time to waste time…
 
But when I checked yesterday and I was seeing a 40% open rate on a list of over 1500 people. 
 
I knew I was doing well.
 
I laughed and smiled well.
 
In fact, I was grinning from ear to ear before someone came to spoil my mood.
 
And this made me remember my starting point.
 
I was only sending emails to like 30 people and even out of that.
 
Only 10 people open the emails.
 
And then, I was dwelling over the opens like crazy.
 
It made me want to quit and I knew I had to just stop or else.
 
Wahala.
 
You see, it’s really easy to fall into depression when we are obsessed with numbers.
 
Yes.
 
It’s that easy but you should let go.
 
Just keep doing your stuff.
 
Leave numbers alone.
 
Keep at it and you will soon discover that you only have to enjoy what you are doing.
 
The numbers will come.
 
Apart from the advert I ran to build my list (I am even considering not doing it again)
 
I get new signups every day organically I.e people on my list still tell others about my emails.
 
And that’s all I want.
 
That’s enough for me.
 
And that’s why I am here to say thank you.
 
Thank you for opening my emails daily.
 
Thank you for clicking to check my sales pages even when you don’t buy.
 
Thank you for sending others to learn from me even if you don’t do it.
 
Thank you for replying.

Even though I know it’s supposed to be a privilege for you to learn from me.
 
I still believed if you are not here, I would have packed up a long time ago.
