How to write highly converting copies

Dolapo

Dolapo

I told you that I will be moving some people out of this place soon.

And fortunately…

I dragged exactly 59 people out of this place yesterday…

And boy, did it feel so good?

Yes.

And for you to see this email, two things must have happened.

Either you are new here or you are constantly opening my emails.

Which I will say.

You are the best.

But that means If at any point you stopped reading my mails, then you are out for good.

And I have been getting a series of questions for some days now.

All these questions are all addressing one point.

And the point is…

How do I write high converting sales messages for people now that they are all sophisticated?

And asking me that question shows you just got here…

Because I have answered it here sometimes ago.

And with that, I will replicate the message word for word again.

Here goes:

There are now a lot of villains out there…

And when I say villains, I don’t mean the ones in superhero movies (I watch that a lot)

I mean all these hype copywriters here and there…

They are forcing prospects to be more aware and conscious of what’s happening in the copywriting world…

A prospect can now deduce whatever you are doing in your sales copy easily…

They now have a low tolerance for Bullshit…

They have seen promises and hype and they can easily smell desperation from afar…

Some of them are far better than the so-called copywriters…

And this is bringing us to one question.

Now that our prospects are highly sophisticated and they understand all we do…

How exactly do I write highly converting copies?

I won’t be going in-depth but I will be giving you a list to check when writing your copy…

And you see…

You need to realize something very important before we get to that…

In writing a copy, you need to consider the type of audience you are selling to…

This will help you create a headline that’s crazy and also a far better lead…

And don’t forget…

  • We have a cold audience that doesn’t even know you…
  • We have a warm audience that knows you but have never bought from you…
  • We have a hot audience that has bought from you and ready to buy again…

So how does this relate to them?

Well, the audience will determine the languages and the extent to which you write in your copy…

Needless to say…

  • A hot audience requires fewer words…
  • Warm audiences require more words…
  • The cold audience needs all the convincing in the world…

Are you getting that?

Good…

And fortunately, the list I will be giving you work for any type of audience (specifically cold audience)…

So you want to just write your sales copy…

Crosscheck it with the list and boom…

You are good to go…

So here’s the list:

  • Credibility (why should I listen to you)
  • Headline (contains a big idea, primary promise, unique mechanism and why I should read it now)
  • Story of testimonial (why I should believe your expertise)
  • Story of testimonial (what an influential person or publication is saying about you)
  • Lead (story lead works best)
  • Introduce character (who is the expert)
  • Testimonial (who the expert has helped)
  • Introduce big idea/unique mechanism (this is my big idea and UM, get familiar)
  • Break it down (this is how it works in details and how it has been saving lives)
  • Go for the close (offer, push and pull, guarantee, sense of urgency, FAQs, CTA, give me your money)

Do you see that?

Straightforward…

And one very important thing is to never hype anything…

Don’t say what you cannot do because you want them to feel an adrenaline rush.

Don’t do it, please.

Promise what you can do.

Under promise and overdeliver?

Hell NO.

Promise what you can deliver and deliver…

Why cutting yourself short?

Promise me you can make me 10M and show me that you can do so…

Then make me 10M.

Simple as ABC.

I believe this checklist will help you onward…

In place of that, let me know if the checklist helps you in any way.

To your success,

Dolapo Hamzat.

P.S:

You should observe something if you have been here for a long time…

I stopped talking about the copywriters’ community a very long time ago.

And why’s that?

Because of two things.

1. We already commenced the copywriting community activities for over 36 days now.

And it has been life-changing for me and others.

Honestly, I saw the way people are now coming up with mind-blowing ideas.

All because they now dissect copies like a beast.

I love to see it and I am so happy.

Azeezah is an example.

She joined us a few days ago.

And she couldn’t stop ranting about how everything became clearer to her.

See her testimonial below.

2. I stopped talking about the copywriting community because I don’t want unserious folks here.

I am being intentional about the community.

That even as busy as I am, I still make out time to vet anybody that wants to join us.

So I push it less and get in the right people after interviewing them…

And in place of that, I think I have few spaces left for more copywriters…

So if you want to join us and:

  • Get your copywriting game upgraded…
  • You want to learn how to write high converting sales letters by imprinting copywriting in your brain…
  • You also want to learn how to use emotions in your day to day life activities in making people buy…
Here’s how to join us below:

The criteria to join us already changed.

I set it as a funnel with the layman guide.

That means if you don’t buy the layman guide.

You can’t join the community.

The community is now 15k but there’s a discount because you purchased the layman guide.

  • So if you want to know what the community is all about.
  • How it operates.
  • The duration, the fee, etc.
You need to purchase the layman guide first.

And to purchase the layman guide, start here: Layman Guide to Copywriting community.
